Let's (slowly) get started...

Everyone has interests, hobbies, talents, and creative ideas. It's great sharing - getting feedback and giving feedback when asked. Years ago, when I attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, we became a family with the Cleveland Institute of Music students. It was great - artists and musicians coming together and sharing thoughts.

I really miss those days of listening to others speaking about new innovations, sharing their thoughts and opinions. Sometimes, I think how sad it is that society has closed up a lot of minds - fear of sharing ideas and having open discussion.

When graphic art (fine art) totally disappears, humanities will be gone. Yes, we do have the technology of using computer software to create images. It's great having this tool - but, it's only a tool to enhance Commercial Art.

I hope the days of Picasso and other creative artists (using paint brushes and canvases) never stops or goes away.

Unfortunately, small art galleries are disappearing. Cities are attempting to save local artists by allowing us to hang our paintings in City Halls.

I am an artist. My first husband was a musician. Soul-wise, it was a beautiful relationship of communication, listening, and understanding each other. Artists and musicians are rare people (yet, we seem to be many). Creativity is rare (yet, many have the abilities).

YAHOO AND LEAFY SEA DRAGON

Yahoo loves sleeping next to me as I sit at the easel and paint/sketch.
She was on her back, sound asleep when I got up to get my camera to take a picture of her -
too late . . . . she got up to see where I went.

Originally, I began to post a Leafy Sea Dragon and a Decorator Crab; but, I couldn't resist posting Yahoo and where she stays whenver I paint or sketch.  So, below is a Leafy Sea Dragon that is found off the coast of southern Australia.  He's hard to spot when surrounded by seaweed.

Another, hard to spot sea critter is a Decorator Crab, who hides in seaweed;
some wear sponge hats to be inconspicuous.

Denton, Maryland

This is a quiet little cove where a museum sits next to the dock.  Unfortunately, the museum was closed for lunch and we didn't stay around long enough for the small building to open.  We drove around, within a 50 mile radius looking for any open museum.  Out of ten (some picked up on GPS) - half were closed and the other half didn't exist.
Soooooo.......I began taking pictures of the beautiful cloud formations........
and we never saw the inside of any museum that day between Delaware and Maryland!!

I'm sure happy little Sea Critters live in this little quiet cove!!!!!

Watch Out for a Couple of These Guys!!!

Shark Mouth and Octopus Mouth are highly dangerous!!!
Shark Mouth bites off arms, legs, and HEADS
Octopus Mouth releases poisionous fluids from the tenacles

These Sea Critters are some GOOFY, but DANGEROUS (some of them).

Frog Tongue and Sea Pony are joining the other Sea Critters

Meet Frog Tongue and Sea Pony who will be joining our Sea Critter friends somewhere around the Mid-Atlantic Ocean, near Massachusetts, and the Chesapeake Bay.

There are a lot of private and public beaches along the coastline, inlets, and coves with many light houses and a lot of history.

Light houses stand above the sandy beaches and watch over ships during storms with beacons of lights letting the ship captains know where there is land and sharp reefs. Lighthouses stand above the Sea Critters who swim below.

Little Racoon (can be vicious)......

This little Land Critter enjoys doing his own Sea Critter pickings for food - loves Sea Critters !!!!!

Akron Zoo - Journey to the Reef Coming

This black bear lives at the Cleveland Zoo -
he gets hand fed Sea Critters!!!

Next month, I hope to be visiting the Akron Zoo and see Journey to the reef.   I'm looking forward to this visit. I'm between acrylics, water colors, and markers. Also, working on different photo paintings of many different sights and things (such as The Bear, which I'll be posting - BECAUSE BEARS EAT SEA CRITTERS!!!!!). I think, I need to apply myself more to my Sea Critter Blog - get more into the markers. I have some terrific photos of many deep water sea critters!!!
